The tour travels north for the natural beauty of the Alps, the lakes of Triglav National Park. You will also travel southwest for sun and sea on the coast

Day-By-Day Program:

  
Day 1                SUN  Arrive in Ljubljana or Venice
Upon arrival in Venice or Ljubljana you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. This evening, meet your fellow travelers for a Welcome orientation meeting including a Welcome drink. Overnight in Ljubljana, a small but exceptionally charming capital of Slovenia 

Day 2                MON   Postojna to Piran
In the morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Ljubljana. Travel to the picturesque Karst region of the southwest. The region is most famous for its incredible caves. Visit Postojna Cave, one of the largest in Europe, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Tour this unique subterranean world by miniature electric train. After the tour travel to nearby wine producer for teran wine & prosciutto tasting. Continue on to Piran on the Slovenian coast for an overnight (B, Wine Tasting)

Day 3                TUE  Piran, Portoroz and Nova Goriska Brda
Morning tour of the beautiful Venetian port of Piran. Later visit the coastal town of Portoroz, and then continue to Secovlje Salt-pans. Afterwards, we turn inland and travel to Nova Gorica. Balance of the day at leisure or join an optional tour to the vineyard region of Goriska Brda where you will have an opportunity to taste local cuisine and excellent wines of the region. Overnight in Nova Gorica (B,D)

Day 4                WED  Soca Valley and Bled
Today we travel northwest of Ljubljana to explore an unspoiled region of breathtakingly beautiful mountains, alpine lakes, and fast-running rivers.
Morning drive upstream the emerald green Soca river, through Kobarid (mentioned in Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms) and visit the WW I Museum

You will also travel to the town of Bled and end the day in this peaceful town beautifully situated in the Alps. Bled is famous for comfortable and excellent facilities poised against a fairy-tale backdrop of an island church in a green-blue lake. Overnight in Bled (B)

Day 5                THU    Bled
A sightseeing tour of Bled features the charming town with the lake.
Lake Bled is nestled within a rim of mountains and surrounded by forests, with a castle on one side and a promenade beneath stately chestnut trees on the other. This magnificently situated mountain resort – among the best in Europe – is known for the healing powers of its thermal springs and the refined feel of a fin de siècle spa town. You will visit the stately 16^th c. Bled Castle (grad) perched above the lake on the summit of a steep cliff, against a backdrop of the Julian Alps and Triglav Peak.
In the afternoon travel to Skofja Loka, a beautiful medieval town with a castle that rises above the confluence of the two Sora rivers, Poljanska Sora and Selska Sora. After sightseeing visit Nace homestead and taste some of the local products. Overnight in Bled (B) 

Day 6                FRI   Bled and Bohinj
Today travel to the other Alpine beauty, Lake Bohinj, the real Alpine gem. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the lake shore and take a cable car to Mountain Vogel, from where admire the stunning view of Julian Alps. Visit the Shepherd’s museum and taste some of the best Slovenian cheese. Return to Bled. Tonight celebrate your scenic vacation with a Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Bled (B,D)

Day 7                SAT  Ljubljana   See You Again
After breakfast your tour ends. Transfer to airport is included (B)
