Day-By-Day Program:

 

DAY 01:     TUE      Arrive Krakow

Arrive in Krakow, check-in at the Novotel Centrum Krakow **** or similar. Welcome meeting



DAY 02:     WED     In Krakow
For half a millennium Krakow was the royal Capital of Poland and for centuries the city walls have guarded its traditions and secrets. 
In the morning enjoy City tour that will take you to the Old Town with the St. Mary’s Church, the Jagiellonian University, the Cloth Hall and Wawel with the Wawel Castle and the Wawel Cathedral.
In the afternoon an optional trip to the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, an amazing labyrinth of underground chambers all made from salt



DAY 03:     THU      Krakow - Warsaw
Depart for Czestochowa, the spiritual heart of Poland, where we visit the Jasna Gora Monastery with the Black Madonna. Through the flat low-laying plain of Central Poland we reach Warsaw in the early afternoon. Check-in at Mercure Warszawa Centrum **** or similar

 


DAY 04:     FRI        In Warsaw

Warsaw is essentially a post-war city with a meticulously reconstructed Old Town. Your City tour includes the Royal Route and the Old Town with the Royal Castle, St John’s Cathedral, the Old Town Market Square and the Barbican. Today you will also be offered an optional excursion to the Royal Lazienki Park with the Palace on the Water

 


DAY 05:     SAT      Warsaw -Olsztyn
Today we leave Warsaw and travel through the northern Poland into the Masurian Lakeland, a myriad of post glacial lakes that represent some of the most beautiful nature in the entire of Poland. 
In the afternoon we explore the scenic Masurian Lakeland, visit a quaint town of Mragowo, view the beautiful
Baroque church in Swieta Lipka, and to the town of Gizycko surrounded by pristine lakes. Check-in at St. Bruno Hotel ****  

 


DAY 06:     SUN     Olsztyn - Vilnius
Today the tour continues along the eastern edge of the Masurian Lakeland, a myriad of lakes representing some of the most beautiful nature in the whole of Poland. Soon we cross into Lithuania and reach Kaunas, the original capital of Lithuania.
We take a stroll in the Old Town with its elegant Old Town Hall and a Gothic cathedral.
We travel eastwards and soon arrive in Vilnius. Check-in at the Radisson Blu Lietuva Hotel ****

 


DAY 07       MON     In Vilnius
With Europe's largest medieval Old Town, Vilnius is a maze of cobbled streets punctuated by church spires, quaint courtyards, cozy cafes and Jewish-heritage sights.  
Sightseeing today includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn.
In the afternoon you will be offered an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, with the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve



DAY 08:      TUE     Vilnius - Riga
Today we drive to Riga. Our first stop is the Hills of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania.
As soon as we cross into Latvia we soon reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Following a guided tour of the palace we travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga late afternoon, check-in at the Mercure Riga Hotel **** or similar


 

DAY 09:     WED      In Riga
Before we get acquainted with Riga we have the possibility of discovering medieval Latvia.
The optional tour for this morning takes us to the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda. Visit the ruins of the Episcopal Castle, and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword before returning to Riga.
In the afternoon you will be offered an optional visit to the Open Air Ethnographic Museum, a spacious exposition of 18th century rural life.
In the evening an optional visit to organ concert at the famous Dome Cathedral



DAY 10:     THU      In Riga
Founded over 800 years ago, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals. It is the unrivaled center of the country’s cultural and economic life. Riga is also an architectural treasure: Riga has one of the largest collections of Art Nouveau buildings in the whole of Europe.
Medieval church spires dominate the Old Town, while early 20th c.
Art Nouveau masterpieces line city’s newer streets. 
A walking tour of the Old
Town includes Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, Swedish Gates, Three Brothers, Large and Small Guild House and the Freedom Monument.

Afternoon is reserved for an optional visit to Jurmala, a vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches

 


DAY 11:     FRI      Riga - Tallinn
The tour continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. After a short tour of the resort we continue through the North Estonian land of forests and arrive in Tallinn early afternoon, check-in at the Radisson Blu Olympia Hotel **** or similar



DAY 12:     SAT      In Tallinn

Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquility and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants.
Sightseeing tour takes you around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where you will view Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the medieval Old Town Hall

 

DAY 13:     SUN      Depart Tallinn
