Day-by-Day Program:
Day 1 Wednesday Welcome to the capital of Ukraine
Arrive in Kyiv. Individual transfer to Park Inn Kyiv Hotel ****, check-in for a 3 nights' stay. PM welcome meeting with your guide
Day 2 Thursday In Kyiv
In the morning a panoramic city tour of Kyiv, being one of the oldest cities in Europe, the cradle of Slavic civilization and Orthodox Christianity.
Enjoy the beautiful views of St. Andrew's and St. Vladimir's Cathedral, Golden Gates, Bohdan Khmelnytsky statue, St. Sophia cathedral and St. Michael's Golden Domed Monastery which you reach by the quaint funicular that runs down a steep hillside to the river terminal in the mercantile district of Podil. This is still the most fun public-transport ride in town.
You will also drive up and down the green hills along the embankments of the Dnipro River, as well as along the Kreshchatyk, the main avenue of Kyiv lined with chestnut trees.
In the afternoon you will be offered an optional excursion to the UNESCO listed Monastery of the Caves - also known as Kiev-Pecherskaya Lavra - a historic Orthodox Christian monastery of the highest ranking
Day 3 Friday In Kyiv
Today you will be offered an optional tour outside of Kyiv to Pirohovo Ethnographic open-air museum, a park-museum of architecture & lifestyle of different regions of Ukraine.
This is where farmsteads, wooden churches, windmills and 200 other villages structures stand proud in 150 hectares of picturesque landscape to give visitors an insight into what life was really like in a Ukrainian village in the 18-19th cc.
In the afternoon you are offered an optional excursion to the 11th century St. Sophia's Cathedral and the National History Museum
Day 4 Saturday Kyiv-Lviv
For today's early morning there is an optional tour to the Chernobyl Museum showing the history of 1986 Chernobyl disaster.
In the afternoon, you are transferred to rail station for High speed train to Lviv. Upon arrival, check-in at the Dniester Hotel **** (or similar) for a 3 nights' stay
Day 5 Sunday In Lviv
In the morning you are offered a panoramic City tour of Lviv. You will explore its Old Town with its famous Market Square, City House, Black stone building Opera Square, Kornyakt Palace, medieval Pharmacy-Museum, Armenian cathedral, Dominical and Bernardine cathedrals and the beautiful Boim Chapel.
In the afternoon you are invited to join an optional tour of Lviv Beer Tour
Day 6 Monday In Lviv
A full day for independent activities. You will also be offered an optional tour to visit castles around Lviv.
The Olesko castle dates back to the 13th c., and served as the residence of Polish Kings.
The Zolochiv Palace of the 17th century served as a fortress and a royal residence
Day 7 Tuesday Depart Lviv See You Again
Independent transfer to airport to return home
